Dmitry Fadeyev, primary contributor to the UsabilityPost blog, has what he calls 8 Characteristics Of Successful User Interfaces. They are: Clear Concise Familiar Responsive Consistent Attractive Efficient Forgiving To these I would also add Predictability and perhaps bundle Simplicity with Clear and Concise. Whether applied to a consumer device or an application or a website, these are critical markers of a useful, successful interface. Which brings us to eLearning.
